Joes Neighborhood: Rio Bound “There is always a certain game flow. When you don’t know beach volleyball, you don’t see it.” The women clear the net with ease. It looks like a water ballet in the air. Soft, gentle, acrobatic. But then the ferocious smash of the ball removes all doubt as to what is happening. I expect to see blood in the sand. But everyone is still alive. Everyone is still breathing. Point to the team that survives. READ MORE
FOOD DUDE: Garden Fresh at Chef's Kitchen After 29 years of weekly columns in Cityview (and its sister publications), this is my first monthly column. Ford famously opened the door to competitors in the early 20th century when it refused to sell cars... READ MORE
FILM REVIEW: Inexplicably successful Paul Feig sold his soul to the devil. There is no other way to explain it. Prior to 2007, Feig had directed such critical and box office flops as “I am David” (38 percent on Rotten Tomatoes), and “Unaccompanied Minors” (31 percent). Then Feig released his soul to Beelzebub, and suddenly he is a successful director. READ MORE
