Scam Alert

Be aware! We received word from a dealer that a persistent man with a strong accent is calling dealers to purchase parts and have them shipped to the UK. The parts he requested are CAT Injectors: 253-0618 / 10R-2772 and 236-0962 / 10R-7224. While the credit card number he gave did appear to work when run by the dealership, this was a scam. Please make sure your employees remain on alert and know the proper steps to follow when taking an order over the phone. Always get the full name, address and telephone number from the caller. Ask them to provide the card verification code and customer service number printed on the back of the card. Inform the caller that you will verify the information with the bank. In addition, ask them to email a scanned photo ID to the dealership.
